Generic Name: Bismuth Subcitrate
Formulation: 120 mg scored tablet
Pharmacological Class: Antidiarrheal


Indications for Bismulix®:

Bismulix® (Bismuth Subcitrate) is commonly used in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection and diarrhea.

Bismulix® helps in the eradication therapy for H.pylori infection. It binds to the stomach's mucosal layer, protecting it from stomach acid and promoting the healing of gastric ulcers.

Indications:

  • Helicobacter pylori infection
  • Dyspepsia (indigestion)
  • Diarrhea

Bismulix® Composition:

Each tablet contains 120 mg of bismuth subcitrate.


Dosage and Administration of Bismulix®:

  • Take Bismulix® according to your doctor's instructions. If you are uncertain about the proper use, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Swallow the tablets with a full glass of water. Avoid chewing or crushing the tablets.

Missed Dose:

  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take two doses at once.
  • This medication is often taken as needed. Do not take more than the prescribed amount.

Overdose:

  • If you take more than the recommended dose, contact your doctor immediately.
