Ronopar® contains two active ingredients: Levodopa and Benserazide.

Patients with Parkinson’s disease have a deficiency of dopamine in certain parts of the brain, leading to slowness of movement, muscle stiffness, and tremor.

Levodopa is converted to dopamine (the active form) in the brain, improving Parkinson’s symptoms.

Benserazide prevents Levodopa from being converted to dopamine before reaching the brain, thereby increasing the amount of Levodopa available and enhancing the overall effect of the medication.

• Treatment of Parkinson’s disease and Parkinsonism
• Restless legs syndrome

• Ronopar® 125 mg Cross-Scored Tablet containing 100 mg Levodopa and 25 mg Benserazide
• Ronopar® 250 mg Cross-Scored Tablet containing 200 mg Levodopa and 50 mg Benserazide

The dosage and timing vary between individuals.

Take Ronopar® exactly as prescribed by your physician.

Do not increase, reduce, or stop treatment without medical advice.

It is recommended to take Ronopar® 30 minutes before or 1 hour after meals.

Avoid taking this medicine with high-protein foods (meat, chicken and egg whites) as they can reduce absorption.

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember.

If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose.

Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.

If you have taken more than the prescribed amount, contact your doctor or go to a medical center immediately.

Your doctor may monitor:

Cardiovascular, liver, kidney, and complete blood count

Blood glucose (especially in diabetic patients) symptoms of psychosis or dystonia (involuntary muscle contractions)

• Hypersensitivity to Levodopa, Benserazide, or any component of the formulation
• Concomitant use of MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them
• Use of sympathomimetic amines (e.g., epinephrine, norepinephrine, isoproterenol)
• Uncontrolled cardiovascular, endocrine, renal, hepatic, hematologic, or pulmonary disorders
• Psychosis
• Closed-angle glaucoma
• Pregnancy or women of childbearing potential not using effective contraception
• Patients under 25 years old

• Stop the drug and seek urgent medical help if you experience allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, wheezing, or difficulty in breathing.
• Some patients may experience sudden sleep episodes during daily activities (e.g., driving or operating machinery). If excessive sleepiness occurs, contact your doctor.
• Levodopa may cause impulse control disorders such as gambling, hypersexuality, or binge eating. Inform your doctor if you notice such behavior.
• Use with caution in patients with heart disease (especially arrhythmia or previous myocardial infarction), diabetes, open angle glaucoma, peptic ulcer, hepatic or renal impairment, or seizure disorders.
• Avoid taking Levodopa 12–48 hours before surgery and inform your physician if you are scheduled for an operation.

• Do not use Levodopa during pregnancy or lactation.
• Women must use effective contraception during treatment. If pregnancy occurs, notify your physician immediately.

Like all medicines, Levodopa and Benserazide can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.

Possible side effects include:

• Gastrointestinal disturbances (diarrhea, nausea, stomach discomfort, vomiting)
• Tremor, dizziness, or fatigue
• Psychological effects such as mood changes or confusion

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Levodopa/Benserazide with any other medication or supplement.

Each pack contains one bottle of 100 cross-scored tablets.

• Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture.
• Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not remove tablets from the original package until use.
