Urihance®
Urihance® (Tamsulosin Hydrochloride) is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist that helps improve urinary flow by reducing the tone of the prostate and bladder neck muscles, thereby improving symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Indications for Urihance®
- Improvement of symptoms in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
- Chronic prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate)
- Ureteral stones
- Lower urinary tract symptoms
Dosage Forms of Urihance®
Each capsule contains Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 mg
Dosage and Administration of Urihance®

Take Urihance® as prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure about how to take it, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Take Urihance® with a glass of water, 30 minutes after a regular meal each day.

Swallow the capsule whole; do not open, crush, or chew the contents. If you need to open the capsule and mix the contents with pureed food or juice, avoid crushing or chewing the granules inside the capsule.
Missed Dose of Urihance®
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If the time for the next dose is close, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.
Overdose of Urihance®
If you take more than the prescribed dose, immediately inform your doctor or seek medical attention.

Contraindications for Tamsulosin Hydrochloride

Hypersensitivity to Tamsulosin or any of the components of the formulation

Concomitant use with medications such as ketoconazole

History of severe sensitivity to sulfonamide drugs (including sulfazalazine, cotrimoxazole, etc.)
Warnings and Precautions for Tamsulosin Hydrochloride

Avoid sudden position changes (from lying to sitting or vice versa) after taking Tamsulosin.

If you experience or notice worsening symptoms of angina (chest pain, shortness of breath, pain in the arms, neck, or stomach), stop taking Tamsulosin and inform your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are planning eye surgery (especially for cataracts) as Tamsulosin use can affect eye muscles.

Inform your doctor if you have heart failure before using Tamsulosin.
Use of Tamsulosin Hydrochloride During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
The use of Tamsulosin in women is not common. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor before taking Tamsulosin.
Side Effects of Tamsulosin Hydrochloride
Like all medications, Tamsulosin Hydrochloride may cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them. Some possible side effects include:

Orthostatic hypotension (especially on the initial treatment level)

Allergic reactions (skin rash, itching, facial swelling, difficulty breathing)

Abnormal ejaculation and reduced libido

Headache, dizziness, fatigue, and sleepiness

Sore throat, cough, runny nose, and nasal congestion

Nausea and diarrhea

Back pain

Storage Conditions for Urihance®

Store at temperatures below 30°C, away from light and moisture.

Use before the expiration date indicated on the packaging.

Keep out of reach of children.

Do not remove the medication from its original packaging until use.
